Mirabilis multiflora

At 7  am the perennial Four O’Clocks prepare to close up for the day.  Last year the hummingbird would often sip at their nectar in the morning but this year I haven’t been lucky enough to catch that sprite. Mirabilis multiflora is native to Colorado and the American southwest. It grows here on the hill facing south in the driest part of the yard.
